Waste to Energy Youth Project
Waste to Energy Youth Project is a project under WEYE Clean Energy that was founded in 2015 with an aim of equipping youth and women with practical skills in renewable energy, waste management and smart agriculture which in turn provides them with employment opportunities and better standards of living.
With this initiative, core needs for communities which rotate around food, water, conducive environment and affordable energy will be addressed through community engagement and training.
 Some of the trainings we have conducted
Waste to Wealth training for Bukatira women and youth
This training was conducted in Bukatira Village Nakaseke District, we partnered with Ndejje University, St Kizito Schools Namugongo and Bukatira Child Development Center(CDC) to train Bukatira community to harness would be agricultural waste which they are highly endowed with, turn it into clean affordable energy through making bio briquettes. Not only would it tackle poor waste management, but also women and youth unemployment and creating alternative sources of income. Read more

The youth scouts from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia hosted by the Waste to Energy Youth Project team and St Kizito High School Namugongo for training in production of briquettes from organic waste, urban vegetable, mushroom farming and fish farming at our production plant from 15th to 18th December 2017.
